Marie Garel Weiss is a French scriptwriter and director. She starts her career as intern on films’ sets and then as directors’ assistant. She writes with Vincent Ravalec two short-movies which she directs in a very short time and with a limited budget (L’amour dans les saunas hétérosexuels and La vie de garçon, broadcast by Canal plus). Afterwards she co-writes Atomik Circus by Poiraud brothers, and Thierry Poiraud’s films (Goal of the dead, Don’t grow up). Marie Garel Weiss also contributes to many short TV programs, as Michel Muller’s Un film sans. She works as a co-scriptwriter with various directors like Fabrice du Welz, Cédric Kahn and Hélène Angel (Propriété interdite). Furthermore, she wrote the adaptation of Jeunesse sans Dieu by Odon von Örvath for the Bastille Theater, directed by François Orsoni.
