Biography

Rebecca Zlotowski was born in 1980. A former student at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and laureate of the highly selective French literature agrégation, she joined the scriptwriting department at the Fémis film school, where she co-wrote with Cyprien Vial the short film “Dans le rang”, which received the SACD award at the 2006 Quinzaine des Réalisateurs in Cannes. Then she collaborated with Antoine d’Agata (“Aka Ana”, a feature film), had a decisive encounter with Teddy Lussi Modeste and co-wrote his first feature film, “Jimmy Riviere “. Frédéric Jouve, at Films Velvet, noticed her final project: “Belle Epine” is their first film together.
