Biography

Catherine Corsini ( suit l’enseignement d’Antoine Vitez et Michel Bouquet au Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Paris pendant trois ans. Après quelques rôles et assistanats au théâtre, elle se tourne vers l’écriture et la réalisation, grâce notamment à sa rencontre avec des élèves de l’IDHEC. Elle réalise plusieurs courts-métrages, tous primés. POKER est son premier long-métrage. Puis, en 1991, son film INTERDIT D’AMOUR avec Nathalie Richard et Maxime Leroux remporte les suffrages des téléspectateurs. En 1998, avec LA NOUVELLE EVE, une comédie générationnelle, elle rompt avec le ton plus dramatique de ses premières oeuvres. Deux ans plus tard, elle réalise LA RÉPÉTITION avec Emmanuelle Béart et Pascale Bussières. Le film est en compétition officielle au Festival de Cannes. En 2006, pour son septième long métrage, LES AMBITIEUX, la réalisatrice retrouve Karin Viard aux côtés de laquelle Eric Caravaca interprète le rôle titre masculin. En 2008, elle a tourné son nouveau long-métrage, PARTIR, avec Kristin Scott Thomas, Sergi Lopez et Yvan Attal.
